Dear Santa,
Hi Santa! My name is Jackson and I am 8 years old. I live in Birmingham, Alabama, a friendly southern city in the green foothills. I love football and acting in school plays. My question is: how much is a Santa Claus costume? I want to dress up like you! My geography question is: what is the Gulf of Mexico? And my social studies question is: what was the Civil Rights Movement? Thanks, Santa!

Ho ho ho, hello Jackson! A young actor who wants to dress like me has excellent taste. A Santa costume can cost very different amounts. A simple, fun one for dressing up at home is quite affordable, while a fancy, professional suit, with a velvet coat and a real-looking beard, costs a good deal more. The price depends on how grand you wish to look. But here is the most important thing to remember: the best part of any Santa costume is not its price, it is the kind and generous heart inside it, and that part is always free.
Your geography question: the Gulf of Mexico
The Gulf of Mexico is a large body of warm sea water bordered by several states, including the coast of your own Alabama, as well as parts of Mexico.
