Response times vary throughout the year. January through October is relatively calm. November becomes lively. December becomes something resembling organised chaos wrapped in festive paper. Christmas Eve is particularly busy. If you contact Santa on Christmas Eve asking whether he has left the workshop yet, the answer is almost certainly yes. January responses may take slightly longer than usual for reasons that will be obvious to anyone who has considered the logistical aftermath of delivering gifts to every child on earth in a single night.
