Dear Santa, my name is Alix, and I am eight years old. I live in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where my grand-mere says our whole country is so small you could walk across it in less time than it takes to watch a Christmas movie.

Santa, I have three questions.
Have you seen Christmas Under the Stars? My tante watches it every year on our balcony overlooking the sea.
I have seen a good number of starlit, seaside Christmas films over the years, Alix, and your tante’s balcony sounds like the perfect place to enjoy one. Real stars over real water might even beat the movie version.
My grand-mere says Monaco is the second smallest country in the whole world, right after Vatican City. Is that true?
It is true, Alix, Monaco is the second smallest sovereign country on Earth, tucked along the Mediterranean coast. I always enjoy how quickly I can complete my rounds there, even with all that glamour packed in.
My grand-mere says Monaco puts up a big ice rink and Christmas market every December, right along the harbor. Is that true?
It is true, Alix, Monaco’s harbor transforms every December with a festive market and outdoor ice rink, twinkling lights reflecting off the boats. That kind of small country, big celebration spirit is exactly what I love seeing on my route.
