Dear Santa, my name is Wyatt and I am nine years old. I live in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where my grandpa says our whole town gathers every summer for the biggest outdoor rodeo you could possibly imagine.
Dear Wyatt, I have flown over that exact rodeo myself, and your grandpa’s description is entirely accurate.
Santa, I have three questions.
My first question is, can I track Santa live? My whole family checks a website every Christmas Eve to see exactly where I might be.
You certainly can, Wyatt, and I always appreciate having such dedicated company watching the skies alongside me.
My second question is about our land. My teacher says Cheyenne sits on high, open plains. Is that true?
It is, Wyatt. Cheyenne sits on the high plains of Wyoming, wide open land stretching toward the Rocky Mountains in the distance. Flying over that vast, snow-covered landscape each Christmas Eve is a genuinely peaceful part of my American route.
My third question is about Frontier Days. My teacher says it is the largest outdoor rodeo anywhere in the world. Is that true?
It is true, Wyatt. Cheyenne Frontier Days has been held since 1897, and it remains the largest outdoor rodeo and celebration of its kind anywhere on Earth. I always find that kind of proud, long-standing tradition genuinely admirable.
