Dear Santa, my name is Brynn, and I am eight years old. I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where my mom says our beach is one of the longest stretches of sand along the whole Atlantic coast.
Dear Brynn, a beach that long makes for one of the prettiest coastal landings on my entire route, your mom picked a truly sandy, wonderful hometown.
Santa, I have three questions.
Is there a Santa in Virginia? My little brother wants to visit one in person at our local mall.
There certainly is, Brynn, many shopping centers and community events across Virginia welcome a Santa figure during the season. Ask a grown-up to help find one nearby, a visit in person is always a treat.
My mom says Virginia Beach has one of the longest pleasure beaches in the entire world. Is that true?
It is true, Brynn, Virginia Beach is often recognized as one of the longest pleasure beaches anywhere, stretching for miles along the coast. I always enjoy that long, sandy view flying in to visit you.
My mom says Virginia has some of the oldest English colonial history in the whole country, going back to Jamestown. Is that true?
It is true, Brynn, Jamestown, not far from your home, was the first permanent English settlement in America, founded back in 1607. That kind of deep, early history has shaped so much of what came after, right up through today.
