Dear Santa, my name is Dallas and I am nine years old. I live in Branson, Missouri, where my grandma says our little town has more live music theaters than almost any place its size in the entire country.
Dear Dallas, your grandma is entirely right, and I have real respect for that particular musical dedication.
Santa, I have three questions.
My first question is, is there a song called Here Comes Santa Claus? My little sister sings it constantly, and I wanted to confirm it was a real song.
It is indeed a real, beloved holiday song, Dallas, though I try not to reproduce the exact words myself, out of respect for the songwriters. Your sister’s enthusiasm for it is entirely understandable, regardless.
My second question is about our mountains. My teacher says the Ozark Mountains and Table Rock Lake shape much of our region. Is that true?
It is, Dallas. The Ozark Mountains rise around Branson, and Table Rock Lake offers a beautiful, calm stretch of water nearby. Flying over that scenic combination each Christmas Eve is a genuinely lovely part of my American route.
My third question is about our theaters. My teacher says Branson became known nationwide for its live music shows. Is that true?
It is true, Dallas. Branson grew into a major destination for live music and family entertainment over recent decades, drawing performers and audiences from across the country. I always enjoy the music drifting up from your town as I fly over each December.
